The Marisol Velvet Bed is our double velvet bed with storage, built to hide bedding, out-of-season clothes and general clutter under a base that still feels like a proper piece of furniture rather than a box on legs. It’s finished in a soft-touch velvet fabric and sits on a double base, with storage that opens from the side or lifts up on gas struts, depending on which base you pick.

Two Ways to Store, One Bed

Choose between a Divan Ottoman Storage End Lift or a Gas Lift Storage base. The ottoman lifts from the end of the bed, giving you a full-width storage box underneath the mattress deck, useful if you want one large space rather than separate drawers. The gas lift base works the same way but with an assisted lift mechanism, so raising a mattress-height base doesn’t need much effort. If you’d rather keep things simple, drawer storage is also available, with a choice of 2 or 4 storage drawers built into the base itself.

The Marisol comes in nine fabric families — crushed velvet, plush velvet, boucle teddy, chenille, linen, faux leather, and the house Arizona, Coniston and Naple weaves — across more than 40 colourways, from classic grey and mink through to bolder teal, mustard gold and blush pink. Every fabric is available on the same frame, so you’re picking a look rather than a different bed.

Sizing That Fits the Room

The double base takes a standard UK double mattress, and you can size up to king or super king if the room allows, or down to small double or single. Headboard height is adjustable in 10cm steps up to +40cm, and a split headboard option is available for easier access up narrow staircases. Pick from spring, memory foam or pocket sprung mattress options at checkout, including firmer 2000 and 3000 pocket spring builds if you want more support under the extra storage weight.

Delivery and Assembly

Delivery runs from a straightforward main-entrance drop-off through to full delivery and assembly in the room of your choice — handy if the storage base makes flat-pack assembly less appealing. Just make sure the room and access route are clear before the team arrives.

No — choose one storage method per bed: ottoman lift, gas lift, or drawers. Each gives a different amount of usable space, so it’s worth deciding by what you’re storing rather than by price alone.

Will a heavier mattress affect the gas lift?

The gas lift is designed for the mattress and everyday use; heavier combinations, such as a 3000 pocket spring with a pillow top, are better suited to the ottoman end-lift base, which doesn’t rely on the gas struts to hold position.
