Manuela Velvet Bed Frame

The Manuela Velvet Bed Frame brings a hotel-suite finish to an everyday bedroom. Upholstered in your choice of Crushed Velvet or Plush Velvet, it pairs a deep, cushioned headboard with a sturdy divan base built to take single sleepers right up to superking couples — all starting from £280.

Crushed or Plush: Choose Your Velvet

Crushed Velvet catches the light with a subtle shimmer and a slightly textured pile, while Plush Velvet gives a smoother, matt finish that leans more contemporary. Both are available across a wide colour run — from grey, mink and silver for a neutral scheme to bolder shades like teal, mustard-gold and pink if you want the bed frame to do the talking. Whichever you pick, velvet upholstery resists fading far better than printed fabrics, so the colour stays true long after the “new bed” feeling wears off.

Built-In Storage, Built to Your Spec

Bedroom storage is where the Manuela earns its keep. Choose a Divan Ottoman Storage End Lift base for a full-width lift-up compartment, or a Gas Lift Storage base if you’d rather access storage from the side. Prefer drawers instead? Add two or four storage drawers to keep bedding and out-of-season clothes within easy reach without sacrificing floor space.

Sizes and Finishing Touches

The Manuela is available from Single 3ft through Small Double, Double, King and Superking, with the frame, headboard and storage all scaling to match. Beyond the base bed, you can specify a one-piece or split headboard, add 10–40cm to the headboard height for a more dramatic look, pair it with a matching footstool, and select a mattress at checkout — from pocket spring to memory foam — so the whole bed arrives ready to sleep in, not just ready to assemble.

Why Choose the Manuela Velvet Bed Frame

A velvet bed frame is one of the fastest ways to lift a bedroom from functional to genuinely styled, and the Manuela is built to make that upgrade practical as well as good-looking: a durable wood-and-metal base under the fabric, storage that solves real clutter problems, and enough size and colour options that it fits a starter flat as easily as a main bedroom. If you’re comparing velvet bed frames, this is the option where the luxury finish isn’t just skin-deep.

FAQs

What’s the difference between crushed velvet and plush velvet? Crushed velvet has a textured pile that catches the light with a subtle shimmer, while plush velvet has a smoother, more matt finish. Both feel equally soft — the difference is purely in the look.

Does the Manuela Velvet Bed come with storage? Yes. You can add a Divan Ottoman Storage End Lift base, a Gas Lift Storage base, or two or four under-bed storage drawers when you build your bed.

What sizes is the Manuela available in? Single 3ft, Small Double 4ft, Double 4ft, King Size 5ft and Superking 6ft.

Will the velvet fade over time? Velvet upholstery is more fade-resistant than many printed or lighter fabrics, which is one reason it holds its colour well in bedrooms with a lot of natural light.

Can I get the bed delivered and assembled? Yes, delivery and assembly can be added at checkout — just make sure the room and access route are clear for the assembly team.
