Buy Velvet Bed: The Cataleya Wing Velvet Bed

Looking to buy a velvet bed that doesn’t lock you into one shade or one silhouette? The Cataleya Wing Velvet Bed pairs a tall, winged headboard with your choice of plush or crushed velvet, so you get the softness of a hotel-style frame without settling for whatever a set collection happens to stock. It’s built to order, sized from a single 3ft up to a superking 6ft, and priced from £280.

Why the Wing Headboard Works

Most “velvet bed” listings show you one finish and a handful of sizes. The Cataleya’s wing-shaped headboard is the detail that sets it apart — the raised side panels frame the bed and give it a more tailored, boutique look than a flat panel headboard, while still upholstered in the same velvet as the rest of the frame. You can also extend the headboard height in 10cm increments, up to +40cm, if you want it to sit higher against the wall.

Plush Velvet or Crushed Velvet — Your Choice

This is where the Cataleya earns the “velvet bed” name twice over:

• Plush Velvet — a smooth, matte-finish pile in shades including mink, grey, silver, blue, pink, cream and mustard gold, for a softer, understated look.
• Crushed Velvet — the deeper-textured, light-catching finish, available in black, silver, champagne, blue, pink, red, gold, grey and lilac, for a bolder, glam-bedroom statement.

Both finishes are available across every size, so the choice comes down to the mood you want in the room, not what’s left in stock.

Sizes and Storage

• Sizes: Single 3ft, Small Double 4ft, Double 4ft, King Size 5ft, Superking 6ft
• Storage: add an ottoman gas-lift base or end-lift storage, or go with 2 or 4 drawers built into the frame
• Headboard: choose a one-piece headboard or a split headboard in two pieces for easier delivery into tighter rooms
• Footstool: a matching upholstered footstool can be added in Standard, King or Superking width

Add a Mattress in the Same Order

You don’t need to source a mattress separately — pick from spring, memory foam, 1000, 2000 or 3000 pocket-spring, or pillow-top pocket-spring options at checkout, in comfort levels from soft-medium through to firm.

Delivery, Your Way

Choose delivery to your main entrance, standard delivery plus room delivery, or full delivery and assembly if you’d rather the frame arrived built. For assembly, you’ll just need clear access to the room the bed is going in.
